BEARER SHARES One of the attractions of Panama to the corporate professional is the ability for Panama corporations to issue bearer shares. Whilst most of the ‘offshore’ world has eliminated or restricted the use of bearer shares, Panama continues to allow their use. As an onshore jurisdiction it is not under quite the same pressures as the offshore jurisdictions. It has obtained approval from both the OECD and the FATF for its corporate regime.
